Summer is the season of music festivals. In Hickman County, Tennessee, that is no exception. Starting July 28, top Christian musicians and bands will converge on none other than Bon Aqua, Tennessee at Johnny Cash’s Hideaway Farm for the second annual Lifest Music City.

“We are honored to return to Middle Tennessee with Lifest Music City this year,” Life Promotions President and Chief Visionary Officer Bob Lenz stated. “Knowing that this land became a special part of his [Johnny Cash’s] spiritual journey solidifies the location for this uniquely curated festival.”

Lifest Music City is an offshoot of Lifest Oshkosh, one of the largest Christian music festivals in the nation. Last year, attendees from over 30 states and 3 countries came to Bon Aqua, Tennessee for the inaugural festival. It is a three-day, family-friendly event benefiting Dignity Revolution, which offers resources and educational curriculum around mental health and wellness to educators across the country.

The lineup for Lifest Music City will make any church worship leader squeal like a toddler on a swing set. Attendees can expect to hear from:

  • Casting Crowns

  • Skillet

  • Sidewalk Prophets

  • Steven Curtis Chapman

  • Mac Powell

  • Riley Clemmons

  • And more!

Contemporary Christian artist Steven Curtis Chapman recently received the first-ever Christian icon award given by BMI. Mac Powell is 4-time Grammy award winner. Riley Clemmons landed an opportunity to duet on “Godsend” with country artist Brett Young. Skillet and Casting Crowns are touring amongst the release of new albums and singles. And Sidewalk Prophets have been entertaining audiences for nearly two decades.

There will be five stages including a KidZone with kids’ entertainment options. You can see most of the headliners, speakers, and comedians on the main stage, but all of the local talent will be on the Nashville’s Big Back Yard stage. When you aren’t listening to music, you can participate in a variety of activities such as archery, inflatables, bonfire worship, a prayer journey, the prayer tent, and you can even donate blood during the Lifest blood drive.

Some of the top food trucks in Middle Tennessee will be dishing out food during the event. You can also visit nearby Maryann & Wanda’s, a dairy bar known for their fantastical milkshakes and restaurant serving classic Southern cuisine like fried bologna. Most lodging can be found in the next county over, Dickson County, and at Airbnbs in Hickman County. If camping is more your style though, there is on-site camping available.

Tickets are available at https://lifest.com/music-city/tickets/. Adult tickets are $72 and youth tickets are $36 through July 27th. Ticket prices are higher at the door. Learn more here.
